The Greatest Need - COVID-19 Support

We are grateful to the numerous businesses and individuals reaching out to offer assistance during the COVID-19 crisis. The small acts of kindness to help our physicians, caregivers and staff caring for our patients has been remarkable. Advancing Excellence: Touching Lives

Building on our strengths, while preparing to face the future, St. Joseph’s/Candler has developed a strategy which ensures continued access to clinical services and programs, while ensuring the financial strength of our system for the continued availability of healthcare services across the many communities we serve.

We successfully completed Phase I of our current initiative, Advancing Excellence: Touching Lives, by raising $5.1 million in two years. Phase II just began and includes projects to enhance the patient experience by supporting the following areas of St. Joseph’s/Candler:

Advancements at St. Joseph’s Hospital

  • Emergency Department - Ambulance Entrance
  • The Heart Hospital - Electrophysiology Lab and Advanced Interventional Procedure Lab
  • Institute for Neurosciences - ongoing support for Movement Disorders Program and other neurological related disorders

Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion

  • Howard Hand in Hand Support for Children
  • Nurse Navigators
  • Research and Clinical Trials
  • Cancer Survivorship Patient Support
  • Expansion of services in Hilton Head Island and Bluffton

Mary Telfair Women’s Hospital

  • Neonatal Level II Nursery Equipment
  • Telfair BirthPlace room renovations
  • Mammography
